What do you do at ANNA? What team are you in? 🧑‍💻

I'm a frontend developer on the customer acquisition team, so I'm one of the people who makes our website look awesome! I also occasionally help with the tools our agents use. Basically, I try to make sure everything runs smoothly – from the blog you're reading now to the technical stuff on our website.

How have you made a difference for ANNA customers? Or ANNA staff?

I hope I’m making a difference for our customers by building and improving pages and features that they use every day. I make sure they have the best user experience and everything they click on works like a charm

As for helping ANNA staff, I’m always there to resolve any issues and questions about the website and how it all works.

What’s the most exciting thing you’re currently working on?

I’m currently working on embedding a new tool to make our website much easier to update. This means we’ll be able to get cool new stuff out to our customers even faster, whether it's the latest news, a price update, or a new product.

What’s a typical day for you at ANNA? ☕️

My day usually starts with a quick check for any overnight website errors. Then it's a quick email and Slack check before jumping into our daily stand-up, where my team and I do a run-through of yesterday's and today's tasks and questions. After that I usually dive into code, troubleshooting, or researching the problems.

What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not at work?

I love travelling and studying new languages. So far besides my native language and English, I can speak some Italian and a bit of Georgian. Right now, I'm trying to learn Japanese and Korean, but those are definitely not an easy challenge!

What would your ideal alternative career be if you weren’t at ANNA?

I did some tattooing back when I was a student and if not for ANNA, I’d say I’d open my personal tattoo studio – or maybe even a couple of them.

What song always gets you dancing? 🕺🏼

Summer Jam – The Underdog Project, my ultimate summer song.

Have you been up to anything memorable or exciting recently?

Lately I’ve been travelling Asia and I stayed in South Korea for two months! I studied local culture and a bit of language as well. Most of the time I spent in Seoul, working with a laptop in cute local cafes and eating Korean BBQ. I met so many amazing people and took an unspeakable amount of pictures.

There were some definite cultural surprises, like students sleeping in cafes and the special person who manages subway crowds during rush hour.

Overall, it was an incredible experience and I swear that I now consume at least 50% of Korean national dishes like kimchi and ramen.

When is your alarm set for tomorrow morning?

9:10, 9:16, 9:21, 9:33, you got the idea 💤

At ANNA we love cats. Do you have one? 😽

I have a dog at my parents’. His name is Pythagor.
