We sat down for a chat with customer experience agent Cat, who works closely with ANNA customers through chat and on the phone, Cat is also our in-house mental health and wellbeing officer.

What do you do at ANNA? What team are you in? 🧑‍💻

I'm a member of the Customer Experience team so a chatter and also the Customer Experience link for all other teams. I'm part of the Retention and Reaction team, a social media coordinator and a mental health first aider 🫶 and I’m also about to join the Business Admin team 🙌

How have you made a difference for ANNA customers? Or ANNA staff?

I'd like to think I'm making a difference to our customers by being a friendly voice in chat or on the phone, offering the best possible customer support when they need it –  and I also support the team by trying to keep spirits up 👌

What’s the most exciting thing you’re currently working on?

At the moment I'd say it's encouraging the team to look after their mental health! It sounds heavy but it's mostly a lot of encouraging them to do things they enjoy whenever they can, and that can be a lot of fun 😀

Have you recently launched any features or projects? 🚀

I'd go with the most recent project for Mental Health Awareness Week. This was a lot of fun,  encouraging the team to get outside and get moving, whether that's just a walk or something a bit more adventurous. Seeing their antics outside of work was a treat and a great way to get to know everyone a little better too.

What’s a typical day for you at ANNA? ☕️

It can be incredibly varied, between different meetings with all of the teams, supporting our customers and keeping on top of projects and tasks. Every day is different, which is exactly how I like it.

What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not at work?

I love to walk my miniature schnauzer, Percy, and give him lots of attention as he's a very needy pooch. I like to go out for food, head to the cinema or grab a good book. I'm also partial to a little cross-stitch when I get the chance.

What would your ideal alternative career be if you weren’t at ANNA?

I studied Psychology and Criminology at uni as I had dreams of being a Criminal Behavioural Psychologist, so lets pretend I'd be going down that route!

What song always gets you dancing? 🕺🏼

I won't admit to being much of a dancer unless I've had a glass of bubbly – then you won't keep me off the dancefloor. My music taste ranges from the 60's but basically stops at 2010.

Have you been up to anything memorable or exciting recently?

I've recently just purchased my very first home 🏠 so we've been busy unpacking and buying new bits and pieces and just enjoying home owner life.

When is your alarm set for tomorrow morning?

It's set for 6:30am, with probably a sneaky snooze or two added on

No cats, I can't imagine Percy would thank us for that as he's a bit scared of them… and anything else that isn't another dog.
